The works also included the construction of in-situ concrete and Gabion retaining walls, the provision of incoming services, foul and surface water drainage systems for the new buildings and the installation of highly specified external finishes.
Some 10,000m2 of high quality hard landscaping was laid in the form of paving slabs including treads to all stairway areas. In addition to this, 3000m2 of permeable paving was laid to the overflow parking area, all surrounded by granite countryside kerbing. A bypass separator was also installed to service these areas.
The installation of street furniture was also included within our contract and we installed over 50 hardwood timber bollards, a cycle shelter and cycle stands across the project.
